Dr. Qu Shaoxing is Qiushi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University. He is also the Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars, Ministry of Education, China. After spending two years at Brown University as postdoc, he joined Zhejiang University in 2006 and was promoted to full professor in 2011. In 2015, he was awarded Distinguished Young Scholar grant from National Natural Science Foundation of China. 

His primary research interests include Soft Materials & Soft Machines, Insect-Scale Robots, Mechanics of Composites, and Micro/Nano Mechanics. He has published more than 200 journal papers.
